Tambo Teddies

Tambo Teddies originated during a drought period in 1992. With wool prices crashing, the Tambo district brainstormed a new way to assist the industry. Finally, three women took the lead and began the legacy, that is Tambo Teddies. The first teddies were ready for sale in February 1993. The impact and enthusiasm of the public was overwhelming and the business grew. Tambo Teddies take pride of place in homes all over the world and have made the little town of Tambo (population some 400) the ‘outback Teddy capital of Australia'.
