Heritage Precinct

Discover stories of the oldest town in the west at Tambo's Heritage Precinct. The buildings were originally Tambo's Post and Telegraph Offices. These heritage listed buildings were moved by a bullock team with the aid of logs to make way for the new Post Office in 1904. Today they house a mix of displays portraying the history and lifestyle of Tambo. Sit down, relax and listen to locals telling stories of the town's goats, telephone exchange, Qantas' only plane crash and old picture theatre on the interactive DVD display.
