The Coolibah Walk
The Coolibah Walk is located along both banks of the Barcoo River which borders Tambo on the northern side. The river with its many swimming holes and fishing spots has been and continues to be part of the Tambo way of life. The walk is well signposted and you will find waterholes which have played a significant part in Tambo’s history. For example ‘The Garden Hole’ once provided water for the Chinese Gardeners who kept the Tambo Community supplied with fresh fruit and veggies. Sand Bank was and still is a favourite fishing spot.
